At the back cover of issue 47 one find a small mystery. There are an advertice for '''Nouva Collezione Nerbini - "Albi Mistero"'''; Uomo Mascherato (issues 1-12), Mandrake (issues 7-9) and Cino e Franco (issues 13-15). And in issue 3 from 1948 there are the same advertice, but now with the Mandrake titles in issues 7-13. Looking at titles they are identical with the Mistero titles, but with a different numbering.

Issues with Mandrake

Mistero

  • Issues 48 (March 26, 1950) to 51 (April 16, 1950). The issues 45 to 47 were probably a 3-part "Mandrake" story but it was never printed.

The series re-started in 1950 and printed, in landscape format, "The Phantom" story "Il piano 47" by G Fantoni (48-51, reprint from "Il giornale dell'Uomo Mascherato"). Issues 48 to 51 was sold between the first and second "Mistero Comics" series and continued the numbering from the "Nuovo serie - Mistero!". Strangly it is printed Anno III on the covers, same as issues from 1948 !

Albums

The issues from the "Mistero" #29 to "Nuovo serie - Mistero!" #44 were reprinted into 23 albums by dr Giuseppe Cartoni (?): "Mandrake" (8 issues) , "The Phantom" (14 issues) and "Tim Tyler's Luck" (1 issue).
