Pisellino was a weekly magazine published by Nerbini in Italy from 1939 to 1941, total 96 issues.

History

Pinocchio: Il Giornale dei ragazzi italiani / Diretto da Paolo Lorenzini (Collodi Nipote) started as a weekly magazine May 15, 1938. The magasine had 12 pages (from #19 12 pages) and was printed in b/w, b/w/red and color. "Pinocchio" printed various comics as: Italian made comics like; Pinocchio, Romolo and Pisellino by Paolo Lorenzini and Giorgio Scudellari, and US comics like; La Piccola Betta, Annibale and Principe Valentino. "Pinocchio" ended in November 1938 with #30.

The new magazine Pisellino / Diretto da Paolo Lorenzini (Collodi Nipote) replace "Pinocchio" February 19, 1939. Since the magazine "Pinocchio" was Anno I the first issue of "Pisellino" became Anno II. The magazine are in color and b/w, measures 34 x 26 cm and printed various comics as; Prince Valiant, Lone Ranger, Cino e Franco, Mandrake and on.

Reprint

In 1979 all issues were reprinted by "Edizione Nerbini" and collected into 6 albums. The Mandrake stories are reprinted in the thrid album (album including the issues # 11 to 33 of 1940);
