1947

  • Issues 29 (August 24, 1947) to 47 (December 28, 1947).

Issues 29 to 47 printed various US and Italian series as: "The Phantom" by Guido Fantoni (29-34, 38-40, 44-46), "Mandrake" by Phil Davis (35-37, 47), "Tim Tyler's Luck" by Lyman Young (41-43), "Inspector Wade" by Lyman Anderson (29-36), "I banditi di Green-Rock" by F Vichi (37-41) and "Johnny Hazard" by Frank Robbins (42-47).

  • Issues 1 (January 4, 1948) to 6 (February 8, 1948).

In 1948 the magazine restart the numbering for the series. Issues 1 to 6 printed various US and Italian series as: "The Phantom" by G Fantoni (4-6), "Mandrake" by Phil Davis (1-3), "Johnny Hazard" by Frank Robbins (1-2) and "Petrosino" by F Vichi (3-6). The Mandrake stories were re-released in the Albi Economici Nerbini series.

Nuovo serie - Mistero!

  • Issues 1 (February 15, 1948) to 44 (December 12, 1948).

The New series printed stories with: "The Phantom" by G Fantoni (1-3, 7-9, 13-15, 19-21, 25-27, 31-39, 43-44), "Mandrake" by Phil Davis (4-6, edited), Roberto Lemmi (10-12), A Galleppini (16-18, 22-24, 28-30) and Franco Donatelli (40-42), "Johnny Hazard" by Frank Robbins (1-2), "Petrosino" by F Vichi (1, 3-6, 7-9), "La slida di Carlos" by G Toppi (10-17), "Gli evasi delle Guyana" by G Scudellari (18-28), "Toni il saltimanco" by G Vitelli (29-33), and "Una tragedia sui ghiacci" by G Vitelli (33). The "Nuovo serie - Mistero" was re-printed by Nerbini in about 1978.

Issues with Mandrake

Mistero

  • Issues 48 (March 26, 1950) to 51 (April 16, 1950). The issues 45 to 47 were probably a 3-part "Mandrake" story but it was never printed.

The series re-started in 1950 and printed, in landscape format, "The Phantom" story "Il piano 47" by G Fantoni (48-51, reprint from "Il giornale dell'Uomo Mascherato"). Issues 48 to 51 was sold between the first and second "Mistero Comics" series and continued the numbering from the "Nuovo serie - Mistero!". Strangly it is printed Anno III on the covers, same as issues from 1948 !

Albums

The issues from the "Mistero" #29 to "Nuovo serie - Mistero!" #44 were reprinted into 23 albums by dr Giuseppe Cartoni (?): "Mandrake" (8 issues) , "The Phantom" (14 issues) and "Tim Tyler's Luck" (1 issue).
