Libro de Oro (full title El FantasmaLibro de Oro, El EspectroLibro de Oro, and for one issue El Espectro Extra) was a series of Phantom comics published by Editorial Edmal and Editorial Impacto in Argentina.

History

The series began publishing Phantom stories in 1960. The title was originally El Fantasma - Libro de Oro and was published by Editorial Edmal to issue 18. After that, publication was continued by Edmal's successor, Editorial Impacto. From issue 32, the title changed to El Espectro – Libro de Oro.

All issues have 68 pages, except Libro de Oro #1 (84 pages) and El Espectro Extra #37 (132 pages), and is printed in black and white. The stories were newspaper strip stories. The covers were illustrated by Argentine artists, for example José Clemen, Ascanio, David Mangiarotti, Ernesto García Seijas, Trento Fronza and a few unknown artists.

The publisher released a similar series featuring "Mandrake the Magician" at the same time.

Some issues were price-marked for distribution in Paraguay as well.
