History

First series

The children magazine Çocuk Sesi (= Child Voice) was started in 1928 by Mehmet Faruk Gürtunca. From issue 507 (September 7, 1939) Çocuk Sesi merged with the magazine Afacan, and this "double" series ended with Afacan #309 in 1940. "Baytekin (Flash Gordon)" began in color in the center pages of Çocuk Sesi with #281, and The Phantom started in issue 494.

Second series

Mehmet Faruk Gürtunca restarted the Çocuk Sesi series in 1940, running for 21 issues.

Third series

Ömer Lütfi Tarhan restarted the Çocuk Sesi series in 1942.
