The Washington Times was an American (English-language) daily newspaper published in Washington, District of Columbia.

It was founded in 1894 and merged with "The Washington Herald" to create "The Washington Times-Herald" in 1939. In the '30s the newspaper had recorded a circulation of over 40,000.

The "Mandrake" daily strip was featured in "The Washington Times" from August 20, 1934 to January 31, 1939.
