Pulgarcito was a comic book series published by editorial Ercilla in Chile.

History

"Pulgarcito" was published between 1937 and 1955, with 908 issues, initially in a 10 pages format, becoming 16 pages after four publishing years.

Its content was principally based on full pages colour reprints, in good quality, of Sundays pages from “King Features Syndicate” with classical comics like “The Phantom”, “Flash Gordon” (nicknamed “Roldán el Temerario”, “Brick Bradford” , “King of the Police Mounted” and “Mandrake the Magician”.

It is said to have been printed in the USA, and sending to Chilian editor, before to be fully printed in Chile.

The inside material was mainly released just two months after its original release.
