Novo Gibi was a comic book series published by O Globo and RGE in Brazil.

The first issue (#1740) of "Novo Gibi" was launched on June 1, 1950. The series was published fortnightly in 19 x 28 cm format. The issues numbering succeed to the one used for "Gibi" series. In the latter the various stories were continued over the weeks when "Novo Gibi" published full stories in each issue. From issue # 1740 to issue # 1797 (August 9, 1952) the publishing company was O Globo and from issue # 1798 (to August 23, 1952) to issue # 1842 (last issue, December 1954) the publishing company RGE took over the series.
