The Toledo Blade, also known as The Blade is a newspaper published in Toledo (Ohio) since December 19, 1835.

In 1950, the newspaper sunday edition - entitled Toledo Sunday Blade offered a generous 30 pages comics supplement with, among many classical characters, the "Mandrake" Sunday strip.
