According to the website "Yesterday's Pages", in an article titled "Lee Falk, Storyteller" ([1]), Lee Falk visited the island of Cuba at least twice: at first, during the last years of the 1950's and, once again, after the new regime took power - this second trip on a period yet to be determined.

  "When I went back to Cuba Castro was in power. I have not been back there since but I still think Cuba is the most beautiful of the islands. That Veradero beach strip cannot be equalled any place on earth for its beauty." (Lee Falk) nb: the Veradero beach is  a resort town in the province of Matanzas, Cuba / this statement seems rather coherent since Lee also liked to stay in the Bahamas islands...
