Iljustrovano chetivo - in Cyrillic characters:"Илюстровано четиво" = "Illustrated Reading" - was a Bulgarian magazine published every thursday before the Second World War.

Issue overview

Regular series

The series contained national comics creations as well as American classical comics such as "Flash Gordon", "The Lone Ranger", "Mandrake the Magician (Cyrillic "Мандрак, Царят на магията")", "Tarzan", "Mickey Mouse". The publishing was interrupted in 1943 during the war events which stopped the comic book tradition in Bulgaria for a long time.
