This album was printed several times and with different back list for the other albums in this series. The two last one have back issues up to December 1939 and is likely printed in 1942, after all back issues from 1940 and 1941 were sold out. These two albums were released without printing date and have an almost identical back list. One missing the "Le avventure di Mustafino" and "I pirati del mar rabbioso" albums.
Comparing [[Backlist Nerbini Albi grandi avventure|the backlist]] on the back covers of other "Albi grandi avventure" issues from Nerbini this Mandrake issue is listed in December 1941.

Comparing the backlist on the back covers of other "Albi grandi avventure" issues from Nerbini this Mandrake issue is listed in December 1941.

The only known Mandrake issue is the one that was reprinted in 1976 (?), but this one do not list other "Albi grandi avventure" issues from 1940 or 1941 (with one exception for the July 1941 reprint of the "Fra i selvaggi della Guiana"). This indicates that the source for the 1976 (?) reprint is from a second edition of the Mandrake issue from early 1942.
