A fanzine (blend of fan and magazine or -zine) is a non-professional and non-official publication produced by enthusiasts of a particular cultural phenomenon (such as a literary or musical genre) for the pleasure of others who share their interest. The term fanzine is sometimes confused with "fan magazine", but the latter term most often refers to commercially produced publications for (rather than by) fans.

Editora Gibizada
Valdir Dâmaso started his first fanzine, "Jornal da Gibizada", in 1985. During the years "Editora Gibizada" published over 160 magazines, although some issues in only 50 copies.

Jorge Barwinkel
Frederico Jorge Barwinkel (1935 – 2010) was the creator of the Brazilian fanzine "0 Grupo Juvenil" featuring information about old comic publications and authors, especially from the 1930's and 1940's. The fanzine was published from 1983 to 2008 with74 regular issues and 3 extra issues. Jorge Barwinkel was also the editor and author - with Óscar Kern - of the reference book Novo O Globo Juvenil - Memórias de todos nós.

Starting in 1971 Futuropolis released nine issues of the fanzine Comics 130. Issue 3 printed the second Mandrake Sunday story.

"Notiziario GAF"
- "G.A.F. Firenze" is a cultural association founded in 1975 that organized and attended various exhibitions and events about comics. The issue #3 (new series / 28 pages) of its fanzine review "Notiziario GAF" contains an article written by Leonardo Gori and entitled Il mistero dei “tagli” di Mandrake (about censure cuts in the first Italian editions of Mandrake).

Fanzine magazine published by Martin L. Greim in 1972. The issue Comic Crusader 14 contains an interview with Fred Fredericks.
Comicdom
Fanzine published by Jerry Rudolph and Bob Mullen in 1963 and 1964 (at least 3 issues). The first issue contains a retelling of "Mandrake the Magician and the Midnight Monster" as published for the "Better Little Books" collection.
K-A - CAPA-alpha
CAPA-alpha was the first comics apa (amateur press association), a group of similar minded people who individually produce pages or zines that are then distributed to all the members of the group. It was started by Jerry Bails who was the main mailer from October 1964 to May 1966, 20 issues.
The first issue has a review by John Mc Geehan: "Mandrake in the Land of X" as printed in Feature Book #52. Issue 4 listing Mandrake books in the Big and Better little books series by Whitman, the one-shot Mandrake issue in Dell's Four Color Comics series, the Mandrake issues in David McKay's Feature Book series and a list of the Mandrake stories printed in the "Mandrake the Magician" series published in UK by L. Miller. Issue 8 reporting that Fred Fredericks is taking over the art for the Mandrake the Magician newspaper strips. Issue 9 has a cover by Bails from an illo by Fred Fredericks.

On the Drawing Board Fanzine
Fanzine published, in New York from October 1966 to 1968 by Bob Schoenfeld, as the official newsletter of the "Gateway Comic Art Fan Club". The 1966 issue #3 has a Mandrake cover by Alan Hutchinson. The 1967 issue #13 has a Mandrake cover by Ken Keller.
Voice of Comicdom
Fanzine published by Rudy Franke & Bill Dubayfrom 1965 to 1971 (17 issues, monthly published - when possible - in the beginning but in fact irregularly). Formerly "Fantasy Heroes 'Hangout" fanzine. Subtitled "Comicdom's First Newspaper". Known to have released the first underground work of Richard Corben. The issue #5 (August 1965) contains an article about Mandrake the Magician wrtitten by Tom Hronik.
