Francisco Fernández-Zarza Pérez, known as Jano, was a Spanish poster designer and illustrator, born and died in Madrid (1922 - 1992).

During the civil war Jano began working as an illustrator for republican magazines, a collaboration which was later sanctioned by thirteen months in prison after Franco's takeover.

From 1942, he began his work in cinema advertising and especially in the creation of posters for films, work successfully continued over several decades.

Concerning comics, he began his career in 1942. For Editorial Dólar, he illustrated the covers of the series Novelas Gráficas presenta en su serie Amarilla as "Secret Agent X-9", "Big Ben Bolt", "Brick Bradford", "The Phantom", "Tim Tyler's Luck", "The Heart of Juliet Jones" and "Mandrake the Magician".
