The Suffolk News-Herald is a daily newspaper based in Suffolk, Virginia, United States. A free supplement edition is also now published twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

History

"The Suffolk News-Herald" is merged in 1927 from two older local newpapers, "The Suffolk News" and "The Suffolk Herald".

The Mandrake" daily strip was featured in "Suffolk News-Herald" from May 20, 1935 to December 29, 1940.

== Note: from December 1939, the Saturday edition was not published with, instead, a Sunday edition released. In fact, in such Sunday publications, the comic strips were those of the original Saturday strips (maybe, simplier, the Sunday edition was in fact available on Saturday...).
