The Philadelphia Bulletin was a daily evening newspaper published from 1847 to 1982 in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania).

It was the largest circulation newspaper in Philadelphia for 76 years and was once the largest evening newspaper in the United States. It started running a Sunday edition when it absorbed the Philadelphia Record in 1947 The newspaper's motto was "In Philadelphia nearly everyone reads the Bulletin".

In the sunday edition, "Mandrake the Magician" Sunday strips were published at least between 1947 and 1963, the precise dates remain to be determined with more details. In the late forties and early fifties, the comics section was entitled "Fun Book" which appeared with a separate cover like the ones of the usual comic-book.
