The Cedar Rapids Gazette is a daily newspaper distributed throughout northeastern and east-central Iowa, United States, including the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City metropolitan areas.

History

The newspaper was published as an evening journal, named "The Evening Gazette", on January 10, 1883 before becoming "The Cedar Rapids Gazette". It is now simply called "The Gazette"

The daily stories of "Mandrake the Magician" were featured inside the newspaper from (at least) September 21, 1942 to December 27, 1971.

The "Mandrake the Magician" Sunday pages were published in "The Cedar Rapids Gazette" at least between August 6, 1950 to November 21, 1971 (however the precise dates remain of these two releases remain to be determined with more details).
