Biography

Stan Campbell was drawing for American comic books in the 1950s. He illustrated several crime and western features for Charlton (Crime and Justice, Lawbreakers, Space Western Comics). He was an artist for Dell's 'King of the Royal Mounted', and illustrated 'Rocky Lane' for and 'Lash Larue' for Fawcett.

Campbell adapted Sir Walter Scott's novel 'Castle Dangerous' in the Classics Illustrated series in 1957. In 1968 he drew 'The Singing Donkey' for Classics Illustrated Junior.
