The San Francisco Examiner is an American newspaper distributed in and around San Francisco, California, and published since 1863 as a media of Hearst Corporation chain since 1880. It published "Mandrake the Magician" daily strip from November 12, 1934 (illustrated announcement the day before) to April 10, 1959 and Sunday strip from February 3, 1935 to October 30, 1960. To note: in 1960 (at least) the Sunday editions reproduce the whole weeks of dailies strips.
