Biography

Marc Laming is comic book artist born in 1968 and living in Hatfield, United Kingdom (Nationality: British). He studied at the Camberwell School of Art & Design Graphic Design & Illustration (from 1987 to 1990) before becoming a freelance Illustrator.

He is best known for his work on Marvel Comic's "Star Wars" comics. His work has also been published by "DC/Vertigo", "Image", "IDW", "Boom!", "Dark Horse", "UbisoftFleetway", "Valiant" and Dynamite Entertainment.

In June 2013, "Dynamite Entertainment" announced its new five issues mini-series "Kings Watch" for publishing in September 2013, series teaming up "The Phantom", "Mandrake the Magician" and Flash Gordon, being written by Jeff Parker and drawn by Marc Laming, Quote: "Announced today is King's Watch, a new series that I'm working on with Jeff Parker & Nate Cosby for Dynamite. This is a dream gig for me, not only do I get to work with Jeff & Nate but I get to draw King Features icons Flash Gordon, The Phantom & Mandrake the Magician - how brilliant is that?!!"

In 2016, always for "Dynamite Entertainment", he also drawn the covers of their following mini-series Kings Quest. His most recents covers illustrating Mandrake The Magician is the third issue of the series "King: Mandrake the Magician" and a variant cover for "Flash Gordon: Kings Cross 1".
