Legacy of Mandrake the Magician is a project of comic book series of "Red 5 Comics" - an American comic book publisher - in co-ordination with StoneBot Studios and King Features, announced on the occasion of the July 2020 San Diego comic con International (held only on web line - as "Comic-Con@Home" - for Covid-19 pandemic reason) and planned to be issued for October 28, 2020.
The aim of the series is to present a new take on the classic "Mandrake the Magician" comic strip with a 17-year-old young girl hero named "Mandy Paz", a magician-in-training who aspires to someday be just like the legendary Mandrake and who is, by all appearances, an ordinary teenager just trying to make her way through high school. If she seems like she’s going out of her way to avoid attention, that’s because she’s hiding a big secret—she has powerful magical talents. So, when strange and sinister things start happening in her small town, Mandy decides to take action. On her quest to chase down the root of the town’s trouble she just might discover the truth about her own legacy.

The author is Erica Schultz, a comic book writer, editor, letterer and instructor best known for her work on Marvel’s "Daredevil" and the artwork is redited to artists Diego Giribaldi, Juan Pablo Massa and Moncho Bunge. The cover art is devoted to Amelia Vidal (Marvel Studios & Boom Studios). A variant cover of issue #1 is drawn by Evelin Unfer.
