Giveaway (King Comics)

In the 70s one do find several titles published by King Comics in the USA as giveaways, with vocabulary words defined to teach reading skills for the Supplementary Reading Program.
History
A few short Mandrake stories in the "Phantom" and the "Flash Gordon" series was found in the giveaways.

Supplementary Reading Program
Theese comics was part of a supplementary reading program in US. The student would read the comic and then work to answer the questions and solve problems related to the stories.
