Feature Book #55 was a 1949 reprint of the US Feature Book #55 made especially for the Canadian market, because American comics were not allowed to cross the border at that time. This issue was published in Canada by "Export Publishing Entreprises Ldt." (located in New Toronto, Ontario, then an independent municipality from Toronto. The comic-book was published "by arrangement with David McKay Company". The covers' colors are not the same.

Mandrake stories
It is unclear whether the Canadian version is actually similar to the American version, namely:*"The 5-Numbers Treasure Hunt" ("The Treasure Hunt") by Lee Falk and Phil Davis.
- "no title" ("The Circus People") by Lee Falk and Phil Davis. (only the first eight pages)
- "no title" ("Mandrake and Lothar at the Carnival") by Lee Falk and Phil Davis. (only the two last pages)
In fact, information has emerged that (at least) some Canadian versions of "Feature Book #55" contain the "Chamber into the X Dimension" story.
Also note that, unlike the US version, the inner front and back covers are blank.
