The World Adventure Libraries books, of which Mandrake the Magician was only one of several different series of comics published by World Distributors.
History
The World Adventure Libraries was introduced in 1966 featuring titles such as The Phantom, Flash Gordon, Mandrake the Magician, Batman, Man from U.N.C.L.E and Superman.
Eight issues of Mandrake the Magician - World Adventure Library were published by World Distributors (Manchester) Ltd. in 1967. These black and white comics were printed in Milan by EFFE.TI.EMME. S.a.s. Each issue measured 125mm x 175mm (5" x 7"), ran for 64 pages, and had a cover price of one shilling. All stories were edited and included a mix of original daily strip adventures, and stories taken from the American King 1966 series.
