The Star Weekly magazine - founded as the "Toronto Star Weekly" - was a Canadian periodical published from April 9, 1910 to December 29, 1973 by the staff of the newspaper "The Toronton Star".

The publication was published each saturday (for the comics, one day before their USA Sunday page similar releases) and included feature articles, fiction, recipes, sports, lifestyle articles. A key feature of the magazine was its extensive section of colour comics which became a major driver of the publication's circulation success.

At its peak, in the early sixties, the magazine "The Star Weekly" had averaged 108 pages and sold over one million copies a week and also sold 30,000 copies in the United States.

"Mandrake the Magician" Sunday strip appeared daily in the “Star Weekly” from 1941 (the exact date remains to be determined) to its last edition (December 29, 1973).
