The The Magician at work was created by Hans Lindahl. The artwork was originally a gift given to Lee Falk when he visited Sweden in 1984 because of the 50th anniversary of "Mandrake the Magician". It was printed in Fantomen 24/1984.
The same artwork was later used on the inside cover of Comics '85, a free publication given out at the Helisingborg Comics Fair, which Lee Falk attended.
A colored version of this image was used as cover for the Lee Falk supplement in Fantomen 14/2006.
