New Jersey's Patriots or New Jersey Patriots is a newspaper strip by Fred Fredericks.
The strip depitcting the risory of New Jersey from Colonial time in the battle for freedom from British rule. It was syndicated by Superior Features Syndicate[footnotes 1].
In newspapers
The Revolutionary war history strip started in the "Elizabeth Daily Journal" in 1958[1]. The strip was 3 columns wide and 7 3/4 inches deep, making it suitable for collecting in a scrap book. The strip was later picked up by 17 other New Jersey papers[2].
Even though the second run of the story started on Monday January 19 and ended Thursday December 31 it did run for 49 weeks[footnotes 2], total 294 strips.

- ↑ Superior Features Syndicate (New York) was active in the years 1955-1965. Andre F. L'Evequue (President of SFS) start offering 16 illustrated chapters from the "Story of Davy Crockett" in 1955. They soon expanded with colums like "The Job Counselor", "Your Doctors' Forum", "Architects Home Designs" in additions to "Davy Crockett Coloring Series" (22 line drawings depicting the highlights of Davy's life for youngsters to read and color), the "Cashword Puzzle" and on. The colums /articles contained a coupon that one could use to order books, blueprints and models of the various designs mentioned in the article. Their cash-paying crossword puzzle became their greatest success. In 1959 the offered Fred Fredericks' "New Jersey's Patriots" (The first of several regional features on local history in exciting comic form ... authentic and thrilling real-life adventure ... six releases weekly, matted, 5-col strip.).
