The Octon was the secret leader of the centuries-old criminal organization, "8".
History
In modern times the Octon controlled the councils of 8 (the Masters) through cameras, microphones, loudspeakers and in early time also a giantic computer. The Octon was never heard an seen in person, only as a symbol broadcasted to the the council from a hidden place far away.
