In 1990 and 1991 was published in Italian a weekly magazine, devoted to form a encyclopedia about comics and entitled "La grande avventura dei fumetti" (subtitled "Gli eroi - La storia - I segreti"). The written part of the issues were accompanied by a separate part which reprints stories of two best-known comics and which was later to be placed in appropriate binders. Of the total of 50 issues one was devoted to Mandrake.
