Giungla! started as a monthly magazine published by Casa Editrice G. Mario Nerbini in Italy in 1937, it replace "il piccolo Avventuroso" a supplement for L'Avventuroso.

History

"Giungla!" was a magazine of adventure and mystery, it measures 19x26 cm and had 32 pages. This first series run for 6 issues (July - December 1937).

In 1938 "Giungla!" absorbs "Il giornale di Cino e Franco" and continued the numbering from this comics as Giungla! - Il giornale di Cino e Franco. Issues 127 (January 9, 1938) was the first issue of this weekly second series, and it run til issue 220 (October 22, 1939). This second series printed various comics as; Prince Valiant, Jungle Jim, Cino e Franco, Inspector Wade, Red Barry and on. Mandrake are to be found in issues 127 to 171. Issues 127-162 measures 29x40 cm and have 10 pgs, and then 32,5x46,5 cm and 8 pgs.

A third series of "Giungla!" absorbs Pisellino in 1941 and run weekly for 28 issues (#16 - #43).
